An Invariant Subspace Theorem
for every rational function ƒ with poles off K. In this note it is shown that any operator for which the spectrum is a spectral set has a nontrivial invariant subspace. In [6] von Neumann introduced the notion of spectral set and showed that if T has II T\\ = 1 then the closed unit disc, D"~, is a spectral set for T. For this reason any operator whose spectrum is a spectral set is called a von ...
متن کاملOn a Metric on Translation Invariant Spaces
In this paper we de ne a metric on the collection of all translation invarinat spaces on a locally compact abelian group and we study some properties of the metric space.
متن کاملGauge invariant decomposition of 1-loop multiparticle scattering amplitudes
A simple algorithm is presented to decompose any 1-loop amplitude for scattering processes of the class 2 fermions→ 4 fermions into a fixed number of gauge-invariant form factors. The structure of the amplitude is simpler than in the conventional approaches and its numerical evaluation is made faster. The algorithm can be efficiently applied also to amplitudes with several thousands of Feynman ...
متن کاملYangian-invariant scattering amplitudes in supersymmetric Chern-Simons theory.
We propose a generating function for scattering amplitudes of N=6 supersymmetric-Chern-Simons theory, which parallels a recent work on N=4 supersymmetric-Yang-Mills theory by Arkani-Hamed et al. Our result suggests that the scattering amplitudes of the supersymmetric-Chern-Simons theory exhibit Yangian invariance.
متن کاملAn operator approach to BRST invariant transition amplitudes
The transition amplitudes for the free spinless and spinning relativistic particles are obtained by applying an operator method developed long ago by Dirac and Schwinger to the BFV form of the BRST theory for constrained systems. e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected] 0 The BRST method of quantization [1, 2, 3] is now thought as the most effective way of dealing w...
